CREATIVE EUROPE "FROEBEL & FOLDING 2020"

Gemeinsam mit sechs Partner-Institutionen hat das Museum der Wahrnehmung das CREATIVE EUROPE - Projekt "FRÖBEL & FOLDING 2020" eingereicht. Ziel dieses interdisziplinären Projektes ist es, die nach Friedrich Fröbels Vorgaben entstandenen Flecht- und Faltübungen einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit mittels Wanderausstellungen zu präsentieren, diese Werke für künftige Forschungszwecke in digitaler Form verfügbar zu machen, den visionären Charakter seiner Gestaltungslehre als einen Vorläufer der modernen Kunst zu untersuchen, Querverbindungen zu NachfolgerInnen zu beleuchten, ein langfristiges Workshop-Konzept zum Thema Falten für Kindergartenkinder wie auch Multiplikatoren LehrerInnen und PädagogInnen zu entwickeln wie auch seine Ideen in die Gegenwart und Zukunft zu transferieren mittels Workshops für Studierende und LehrerInnen unter Verwendung von neuesten Computerprogrammen und von Lasercuttern.

 

Der Pädagoge Friedrich Fröbel (1782-1852) notiert über die Bedeutung des Papierfaltens: "...aus dem stetig Ungeformten, oder aus dem ungeformten Stetigen, durch drei Brüche und drei Schnitte, die gesetzmäßigste und einfachste Form, das Geviert, entsteht. Diese Erscheinung fordert die strengste, mehrseitige Beachtung."

 

Am Projekt beteiligt sind neben dem Museum der Wahrnehmung MUWA (AT), das Institut für Architektur und Medien an der Technischen Universität Graz (AT), das Zentrum zur Förderung von Wissenschaft in Belgrad (RS), das Archiv für Bildungsgeschichtliche Forschung am Deutschen Institut für Internationale Pädagogische Forschung, Berlin (DE), der Lehrstuhl für Kunstpädagogik an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität, Nürnberg-Erlangen (DE), das Vasarely Museum, Budapest (HU) und das Kindermuseum Creaviva am Zentrum Paul Klee, Bern (CH).

 

 

"FROEBEL&FOLDING 2020” shows with its exhibitions, workshops and events the current importance of manual folding exercices as potential for playful learning and creative thinking for different audiences. FF2020 explores various aspects of folding from Froebel exercices in the 19th century across to Bauhaus to contemporary interpretations of folding and presents them in the context of the art-historical and art-educational and pedagogical relevance in five countries.

 

For the exhibitions original Froebel exhibits will be shown for the first time. Additionaly the completely new folding exhibits, dealing with latest technologies, will be specially designed for this project. The project will enable the mobility of scientific actors and touring exhibitions.

 

The project draws its relevance from the fact that modern technologies are constantly evolving, but while their results are consumed, their handling is not internalized in a comprehensive manner. FF2020 reveals the importance of the exchange between analogue and digital tools. Exploring of folding helps to develop a fundamental understanding of space perception and the ability to promote handling and programming equally. FF2020 will develop pedagogical concepts for increasing creativity and cross thinking, what will be disseminated within the audience through workshops and a symposium.

 

FF2020 aims to promote a modern approach to the creative use of the latest technologies, develop new skills and create new business models in the field of architecture, art and science targeting different audiences such as youth, teachers, students of art, science and architecture.

 

This new project connects traditional analogue folding techniques with the latest digital technologies and offers a huge potential for implementation of folding art to science and engineering.
